I have a passion for helping pregnant moms, at any point in their pregnancy, to use yoga techniques to alleviate common discomforts, practice mindfulness, as well as de-stress and relax the body through meditation and breathing techniques.
I am currently teaching prenatal yoga classes at Breathing Space. Please pre-register for class, as I need a minimum number of students registered to be able to hold class.
After going through the postpartum period myself, I know how important it is for moms to take time of themselves and honor their bodies, in a safe and nurturing environment. Postnatal classes are a more restorative practice, for both mom and baby. The classes consist of gentle poses designed to help regain strength and release built up tension in a postnatal mom’s body, as well as incorporating newborns into the yoga practice.
Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga where a set of poses are held for a longer period of time, generally 2-5 minutes. It is often described as yoga for the joints, not the muscles, as well as a meditative practice. This is an excellent practice to bring balance to the body and mind.
